Invocator[edit]

Abilities: Like their stronger warlock cousins, invocators benefit from a strong Charisma. However, for invocations that do not have DCs it is not required, and instead Dexterity is more important. Constitution is good for everyone of course.

Races: Any.

Alignment: Any, though it seems it leans towards chaos and evil.

Starting Age: As rogue.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the invocator.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Invocators are proficient with all simple weapons. They are proficient with light armor but not with shields.

Invocations: An invocator uses invocations as a WarlockCArc. Like the warlock, the invocator's invocations can be done in light armor without arcane spell failure. The save DC for an invocation (if it allows a save) is 10 + equivalent spell level + the invocators Charisma modifier.

The four grades of invocations (but the invocator only learns three), in order of their relative power, are least, lesser, and greater. They choose from the warlock's invocation list. An invocator begins with knowledge of one invocation, which must be of the lowest grade (least). As a invocator gains levels, he learns new invocations, as summarized on the table above.

At any level when a invocator learns a new invocation, he can also replace an invocation he already knows with another invocation of the same or a lower grade. At 3rd level and every three levels beyond, a invocator can replace a least invocation he knows with a different least invocation (in addition to learning a new invocation).

Eldritch Blast (Sp): This functions like the Warlock class feature, but only deals d4 dice of damage.

Detect Magic (Sp): Beginning at 2nd level, a invocators can use detect magic as the spell at will. His caster level equals his class level.
