Knight-Evoker
A spellcaster wearing some of the heaviest armor, a knight-evoker is a specialist of the evocation school of magic. knight-evokers don’t tend to fight like typical magi, instead preferring an approach closer to classical evokers. Particularly skilled knight-evoker are also able to mix martial attacks and magic. Without the limitation of a light weapon.
Class: Magus
Level: 1st, 3rd, 6th, 7th, 12th, 13th, 18th
Replaces: Spell Combat, Spellstrike, Medium Armor, Heavy Armor, Improved Spell Combat, Greater Spell Combat
Benefit: An knight-evoker receive the following class features:
Armor Training (Ex): A 1st level knight-evoker gains proficiency with medium armor. A knight-evoker can cast magus spells while wearing medium armor without incurring the normal arcane spell failure chance. Like any other arcane spellcaster, a magus wearing heavy armor or using a shield incurs a chance of arcane spell failure if the spell in question has a somatic component.
A 3rd level knight-evoker gains armor training as a fighter of her class level.
At 7th level a knight-evoker gains proficiency with heavy armor. A knight-evoker can cast magus spells while wearing heavy armor without incurring the normal arcane spell failure chance. Like any other arcane spellcaster, a magus using a shield incurs a chance of arcane spell failure if the spell in question has a somatic component.
This ability replaces spell combat, medium armor and heavy armor.
Invoker Focus: At 2nd level, an knight-evoker gain Spell Focus (Evocation) as a bonus feat. Additionally whenever she deals damage with an evocation spell, she increases the damage by +1 per die.
This ability replaces spellstrike.
Evoker's Spell Combat (Ex): At 8th level an knight-evoker gains spell combat as a magus. Unlike a magus, she may use her spell combat to cast evocation spells. However her increased focus allows her to use her spell combat while using a shield in her offhand, or while wielding a two-handed weapon. She may use her hand holding a weapon to complete somatic components.
This ability replaces improved spell combat and greater spell combat.
Armor Mastery (Ex): At 19th level, a knight-evoker gains the armor mastery class feature of a fighter.
This ability replaces greater spell access.
