Laughing Man[edit]
Though many Rogues are grim in their operations, there are exceptions. Some Rogues are quite outlandish when compared to others, these types of Rogues are called Laughing Men. Laughing Men (and Laughing Women) are Rogues who specialize in doing their work in humorous ways. They treat their targets more like an audience to test out new material and methods, either for fun or to kill. Their known to be quick to joke, quick on their feet, and have great control of crowds. The rouges who adopt this archetype are often court jesters, street artists, and sometimes famous killers.
Entertainer[edit]
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain expertise in the Acrobatics and Performance skills.
Pranks and Puns[edit]
Starting at 3rd level, you have learned the basics of magic to aid you in comedic combat. you gain 3 cantrips. Your Spellcasting Ability for these spells is Charisma, and the Spell Save DC for these spells are 8 + Your Proficiency Bonus + You Charisma Modifier. The cantrips are Poison Spray, Shocking Grasp, and Vicious Mockery. You can use your Cunning Action feature to cast the cantrips as bonus actions.
Twisted Humor[edit]
When you get to 9th level, you can guard your mind while altering others. You gain immunity to the charmed and frightened conditions. You can also cast the Fear and Hypnotic Pattern spells once without expending a spell slot or material components. Once you cast either of these spells, you must finish a long rest to cast either of them again.
Running Joke[edit]
Beginning at 13th level, you become unusually quick in your movement. Your base walking speed increases by 20 feet. You may also use your cunning action to make any skill check as a bonus action.
Laugh at Death[edit]
Upon reaching 17th level, you figured out a way to handle dying like a small joke. When you are reduced to 0 HP, you can instead choose to regain HP equal to your Rogue level, gain temporary HP equal to 1/2 your Rogue level, and take 2 actions on your next turn (your second action being taken at your initiative minus 10). You must finish a long rest to use this feature again.
