Night Sighted
You lived all your life in an area of darkness. This grants you the ability to see in the dark to some extent but makes you vulnerable to sudden bright light.
Benefit: You gain Low-Light Vision and Darkvision out of 30 ft. If you previously had low-light vision it becomes superior low-light vision, and if you had darkvision it range increases by 30 ft.
Drawback: You gain an Orc’s light sensitivity, if you already had light sensitivity you instead gain a Drow’s light blindness ability. If you already have light blindness, you cannot take this trait.
Roleplaying Ideas: You may have been born and raised underground, perhaps as a slave to duegars or drows. Alternatively years of studying in a dark hall may have given you excellent night vision. In any case you rarely need anything more than candlelight to read.
