Nikolaas, The Laughing Saint[edit]
Legends tell of a man so generous and kind, he wished to give his gifts to all the world. Such would be impossible, though, as the world is a big place. But it's said that his will was so strong that when he died, he continued to persist in the minds and hearts of people everywhere, and every so often he returns to grant joy to the world. You gain the ability to teleport at will, store a great deal in your bag, fit through tiny spaces, resist damage, detect alignments, speak to any creature, sneak around, and punish the naughty with coal.

Special Requirement: The binder must not be evil. Naughty binders don't get gifts.
Legend[edit]
Jolly Nikolaas was a human from the cold north who was born with a heart of gold. Though poor himself, he was an expert craftsman who worked hard creating toys and tools. Were he a normal man, he would have been able to sell these items for a high price and become rich, but more often than not, he simply gave them away, selling only enough to survive himself. The surrounding land, moved by his generosity, would in turn grant him gifts of food and drink, leading to the fairly poor Nikolaas becoming round and jolly.
He was mortal, though, and as all mortals, he would eventually pass. Perhaps it was the grieving of so many, or the iron clad will of Nikolaas himself, but he persisted after death to continue his works.
Special summoning[edit]
Must have granted a gift worth at least 5 gp to a person within the last 24 hours.
Manifestation[edit]
The air grows cold and it begins to snow, then turns into a huge blizzard. In spite of the environment, you feel warm and toasty inside as the sound of bells is heard. A sleigh pulled by eight curiously small reindeer comes from the snowy mists, with the fat and jolly Nikolaas sitting in the driver's seat, dressed in red and white garb and carrying a large sack. He chortles cheerfully as he asks the binder what they would like to have.
Sign[edit]
You grow a huge white beard and become fat and pudgy.
Influence[edit]
You can't help but give gifts to everyone you meet. Whenever you encounter a non-hostile creature, you need to give them something for free, worth at least 1 gp. This cannot be covered by Eschew Materials, but can be anything (even just a gold piece).
Granted Abilities[edit]
Around the World[edit]
You gain greater plane shift (willing only) and greater teleport at will. Once you have used either of these abilities, you cannot use it again for 5 rounds.
Belly of Jelly[edit]
You seem to have plenty of natural padding. You gain DR/piercing and evil equal to 1/2 your level, and are immune to bludgeoning, cold, and fire damage.
Infinitely Deep Bag[edit]
Any container you have acts like a handy haversack, from pockets to treasure chests. Anything placed in such an extradimensional space is all stored in the same area and accessible from any container. This space has infinite capacity. When the binding ends, any held items in the extradimensional space are deposited in an empty space in Close range.
Naughty or Nice[edit]
You have detect (any alignment) at will.
Stocking Full of Coal[edit]
You can summon giant lumps of coal to bludgeon and burn naughty people. This duplicates meteor swarm, except the coal does not explode (and subsequently there is no saving throw needed). It deals half damage to good-aligned targets, and 50% additional damage against evil targets.
Through the Chimney[edit]
In spite of being pretty big, you somehow manage to get through the smallest spaces. You count as a Fine-sized creature for the purposes of squeezing through areas.
Universal Language[edit]
You are constantly under the effect of tongues.
Unseen[edit]
You have a +10 bonus on Hide and Move Silently checks. Must be the soft padded boots.
