Another day, another hamlet burninated instantly. Trogdor should take notes.
A nine acre fire spell is a 40' high wall of flame and force that expands from its center extremely quickly. Those within the area of effect suffer 20d6 fire damage and 10d6 force damage. The explosion also creates significant pressure, pushing back those it doesn't consume outright. Creatures of medium size that survive are blown 40 feet away from the detonation center. This distance is halved for every size category larger than medium of the affected creature, and doubled for every size category smaller than medium of the affected creature. On a successful save, the target only suffers half of the fire damage, half of the force damage, and the distance pushed is reduced by half.
Unattended objects within the area also take this damage and may be blown backwards if not destroyed outright. If the nine acre fire destroys a barrier, it immediately continues beyond the barrier as if it did not exist. If the barrier is not destroyed, but is not sufficiently well fixed to a larger object, it is blown away and provides no protection against the blast. If the barrier is not destroyed and is sufficiently well attached to an object to not be blown backwards, a zone of protection is created behind the barrier. This zone is a semi-circle with a diameter equal to the portion of the spell blocked by the barrier, and whose ends attach to the edges of the barrier. All creatures and objects within this semi-circle are treated as having succeeded on their saving throws.
When the spell is cast, you point your finger and determine the range (distance and height) at which the nine acre fire is to detonate. As it is a radial wave rather than a spherical one, it is most often used near the ground. Like fireball, this spell causes a red orb to streak towards your destination, and it may be subject to premature detonation if fired through a narrow passage or if it intercepts anything that would block line of effect.
Special: If a creature with evasion or improved evasion succeeds on their save, they suffer none of the fire damage but are still subject to half of the force damage and half of the pushed distance.
Material Component: A handful of bat guano and sulfur.
