Although Norton Chadwick's research rarely went into spells quite as destructive as this one, it was developed at a particularly dark time in his life, and the spell's anatomy reflects this. It creates a ray that causes its target's bones to burst out of their body and instantly glaciate. Even those nearby are not safe.
You must succeed on a successful ranged touch attack with the ray. If the attack is successful, and its target has a bone structure, the subject's bones burst out of his or her body and instantly glaciate, causing the subject to lose half of its hit points (rounded up). Additionally, the subject must make a Fort save or become stunned for 1 round. Regardless of this save, the subject is also nauseated for 4 rounds from the pain and shock of this spell.
The bones that spray out of the target are magically compelled to strike one additional target per level, no two of which may be more than 60ft apart, nor more than 60ft from the original subject. Each target is dealt 1d6 damage per level, half of which is cold, and the other half piercing. Additionally, each of these targets has its speed reduced by 20ft, due to the frigidly cold bone shards embedded in their body. A successful Reflex save reduces the damage by half.
