Numbed[edit]
A state in which a creature's motor functions are heavily impaired, and their body responds very badly to muscle commands. A numbed creature is effectively slowed, and a creature with positive Strength or Dexterity modifiers has them reduced to +0, although for all intents and purposes a numbed creature still enjoys its Dexterity bonus to AC. A numbed creature's capacity for somatic movements is greatly impaired, increasing their arcane spell failure chance by 50%. In addition, a numbed creature takes a −4 penalty to AC, attack rolls, damage rolls, and all checks based on physical ability scores.
A number creature may still attack normally, and is capable of defending itself.
Numbed is a less extreme version of paralyzed, locking down synapses and muscular movement severely, but not completely as paralysis does. As such, creatures immune to paralysis cannot be numbed, and spells and effects like remove paralysis can remove or suppress the numbed condition.
