Paperclip[edit]
It's a paperclip, a small bit of twisted metal wire, usually to clip together sheets of paper. In a pinch one can bend the clip out of shape to form a makeshift lockpick. When used, you only take a -1 circumstance penalty on Disable Device and Open Lock checks for lacking the tools, rather than -2.
Paperclips are so cheap, they have no appreciable cost (- gp).
