Physical Blast
Eldritch Essence Warlock Least; 1st
|
Your eldritch blast conjures piercing needles, spinning sawblades, or heavy cannonballs which fly out at the target. Your eldritch blast is no longer subject to spell resistance, but now much contend with damage reduction and is now a normal ranged attack instead of a ranged touch attack. Physical blasts are considered made of iron, bypasses DR/magic, and have additional effects depending on which type of damage you choose. Select from below each time you use physical blast:
- Bludgeoning: Bludgeoning shot crashes easily through heavy armor. You ignore a number of points of armor bonus to AC equal to 1 + 1/4th your caster level.
- Piercing: Piercing shot causes the shots to fly +50% farther than normal due to their aerodynamic shape. Thus piercing shots are 90 ft on a normal eldritch blast, or 45 ft on a shape such as eldritch cone.
- Slashing: Slashing shot causes grievous bleeding wounds. Targets lose 1d6 hp each round due to bleeding until they recover at least 1 hp, or make a DC 15 Heal check as a standard action. Bleeding stacks to a maximum of 5d6.
You can use an optional material component on time of casting to imbue your physical blast with a material such as cold iron or adamantine. The cost of the component is equal to an amount of the material to make one piece of ammunition. For example, adamantine would cost 60 gp in adamantine.
