Class Features[edit]
All of the following are class features of the <-class name->.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A Psuper Psinger is proficient with all simple weapons, plus the longsword, rapier, sap, short sword, shortbow, and whip. Psuper Psingers are proficient with light armor and shields (except tower shields). Armor does not, however, interfere with the manifestation of powers.
Power Points/Hour: A Psuper Psinger's ability to manifest powers is limited by the power points they have available. Their base hourly allotment of power points is given on Table: Psionic Psuperhero. In addition, they receive bonus power points per hour if their Charisma is high enough (see Table: Ability Modifiers and Bonus Power Points). Their race may also provide bonus power points per day, as may certain feats and items. The ability to regenerate Power points per hour granted by this class and a high ability score only apply to their Psuper Psinger powers. If power points are spent on any usage other than Psuper Psinger powers, then the Psuper Psinger must get a good night’s sleep to regain those spent power points.
Powers Known: The Psuper Psinger begins play knowing one Psionic Psuperhero Power at first level. In addition to their Psionic Psuperhero Power, the Psuper Psinger begins play with the knowing 4 level 0 powers, and 2 level 1 powers, drawn from the bard spell list of the same level. Each additional level the Psuper Psinger gains they learn 2 additional powers known of the highest level they can manifest, and 1 additional power known of any lower level. These powers must be drawn from the bard spell list at the same level they appear on the bard spell list. Despite knowing manifestations equivalent to bardic spells, this does not allow the Psuper Psinger to activate spell trigger items as though they possessed that spell list as they are psionic powers, not arcane spells. The power point cost for powers drawn from the bard spell list is equal to the level of the power, and level 0 powers may be manifested at no cost of power points. Psionic powers may not be manifested at a higher cost than their manifester level. Powers have a save DC equal to 10 + the power's level + the Psuper Psinger's Charisma ability modifier. Augmentations may affect the save DC of a Psionic Psuperhero power.
Maximum Power Level Known: This column determines the highest level power a Psuper Psinger can learn at this level when drawing from the bard spell list for powers known.
To learn or manifest a power, a Psuper Psinger must have a Charisma score of at least 10 + the power’s level.
Superhero Outfit (Ex): The Psuper Psinger can attune a set of clothing and a set of armor to themself after an hour of fitting and line-practicing. The Psuper Psinger can only have one set of clothing and one armor attuned to themself at a time. As a swift action, the Psuper Psinger can don, remove, or swap their attuned outfits.
Bardic Music: Once per day per Psuper Psinger level, a Psuper Psinger can use their song or poetics to produce magical effects on those around them (usually including themself, if desired). While these abilities fall under the category of bardic music and the descriptions discuss singing or playing instruments, they can all be activated by reciting poetry, chanting, singing lyrical songs, singing melodies, whistling, playing an instrument, or playing an instrument in combination with some spoken performance. Each ability requires both a minimum Psuper Psinger level and a minimum number of ranks in the Perform skill to qualify; if a Psuper Psinger does not have the required number of ranks in at least one Perform skill, they does not gain the bardic music ability until they acquire the needed ranks.
This ability functions as the normal bardic music ability, with following exceptions. While starting bardic music requires a standard action the Psuper Psinger can concentrate on it either as a standard or move action. Unless otherwise noted you cannot maintain two bardic music (or similar abilities) at the same time.
At 7th level you can now start your bardic music as a move action.
At 14th level you can now start your bardic music as a swift action.
Additionally apply these changes to bardic music as detailed below:
Countersong: No change.
Distraction: A bard with 3 or more ranks in a Perform skill can use their music or poetics to cause one or more creatures to cause a distraction, granting all their allies their Charisma bonus as a circumstance bonus to hide and move silently against every creature that can hear and see the bard. By spending two bardic music attempts they may combine distraction with fascinate, maintaining both with the same action.
Inspire Courage: The bonus granted by inspire courage increase at 5th, 10th and each 5 level thereafter instead of it normal rate.
Fascinate: No change.
Inspire Menace: A bard of 2nd level or higher with 5 or more ranks in a perform skill can use their music and poetic to be extremely threatening. Each round they maintain inspire menace they can attempt to use demoralize opponent as a free action once per round per class level (although each attempt must target a different creature). The bard may make a perform check instead of a intimidate check for demoralizing their opponent.
Gather Crowd: A 3rd level bard with 6 or more ranks in a Perform skill can amass a crowd with a 10 minutes speech or performance. The size of the crowd depends on the local population but is usually dense enough to be considered difficult terrain.
Inspire Competence (Su): A bard of 3rd level or higher with 6 or more ranks in a Perform skill can use his music or poetic to help an ally succeed at a task. The ally must be within 90 feet and able to see and hear the bard. The bard must also be able to see the ally.
The bard's ally gains a morale bonus equal to 1 + half the Bard's Charisma modifier on a single skill check every round as long as he or she continue to hear the bard's encouragement. The effect lasts as long as the bard concentrates, up to a maximum of 1 minute per class level and 5 rounds afterward. A bard can’t inspire competence in theirself. Inspire competence is a mind-affecting ability.
Double Entendre: A bard of 5th level or higher with 8 or more ranks in a Perform skill can make special bardic music attempt, if they succeed then the bard immediately starts two other bardic music (or similar abilities). Double entendre itself does not cost any bard music attempt but any abilities used alongside of it does. Both bardic musics are in full effect for as long as the bard maintains double entendre, which requires a standard action (unlike normal bardic music).
Suggestion: No change.
Improved Inspire Courage: A bard of 7th level or higher with 10 ranks in a Perform Skill gain a upgrade to their inspire courage ability. The bonus to damage roll changes from +1 per point of inspire courage bonus to +2 per point. This does not affect the bonus to attack granted by inspire courage.
Inspire Greatness: Affects the bard and all allies within 30 ft.
Song of Freedom: No changes
Inspire Heroics (Su): A bard of 15th level or higher with 18 or more ranks in a Perform skill can use music or poetics to inspire tremendous heroism in themself and all willing allies within 30 feet. To inspire heroics, a bard must begin the performance and an ally must witness the bard's performance for a full round. A creature so inspired gains 4 'positive levels', a 'positive level' essentially act as a negative level but in reverse. In short the bard's allies gain a +4 bonus on attack roll, skill checks, ability checks, caster level checks and 20 temporary hit points. The bonuses granted by inspire heroics increase by 1 at 20th level and each 5 level thereafter. The effect lasts for as long as the ally can witness the bard's performance and for up to 5 rounds thereafter. Inspire heroics is a mind-affecting ability.
Mass Suggestion: No change.
Jack of All Trades: At 2nd level a Psuper Psinger gains Jack of All Trades as a bonus feat even if they do not meet the prerequisites.
Bonus Feat: At 3rd level and each 3 levels thereafter, a Psuper Psinger gains a single bonus feat they meet the prerequisites for, and they must select it from the following list: Endurance, Persuasive, Skill Focus (Diplomacy, Bluff, Gather Information or Perform), Weapon Finesse and any feat which affect their bardic music (such as Exalted Bardsong or Music of the Gods).
Secondary Power: At 11th level a Psuper Psinger gains knowledge of one additional Psionic Psuperhero power.
