Ravaged By Fraz-Urb'luu[edit]

No-one is ever sure if there is a ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu in their midst, for they have the ability to take on a wide variety of forms, and thus serve their lord's wishes without ever being found out. Additionally, they are slightly unstuck in time, which gives them an otherworldly, shifting appearance, making them hard to spot and even harder to identify.

Making a Ravaged By Fraz-Urb'luu[edit]

Ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu are powerful impersonators and spies, with capable combat abilities when needed.

Abilities: Charisma is an important ability score for this class, as many of its abilities depend on it. A high Dexterity and Constitution aren't amiss either.

Races: Only outsiders can become ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu.

Alignment: Only chaotic evil creatures can become ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu become proficient in longbows. They gain no additional armour or shield proficiencies.

Spellcasting or Bonus Feat: When a ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu gains their first class level, they can choose to either advance spellcasting or not to. If they choose to advance spellcasting, gaining a level in ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu counts as gaining a level in their previous class for the purposes of spells known and spells per day. If they had multiple classes capable of casting spells, they choose which one is advanced in this manner.

If they choose not to advance spellcasting, they gain a bonus feat at each level of ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu. They must meet all the prerequisites for a feat to take it. Once this choice is made, it cannot be changed, and remains constant no matter how many levels of ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu are taken.

Abyssal Power (Su): The mighty power of the Abyss flows through a ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu. If they have any spell-like abilities or spells, their caster level always equals their character level (or CR), and any DCs for these spells or spell-like abilities is worked out as if it were a supernatural ability (10 + 1/2 the ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu's character level or CR + the appropriate ability score modifier).

Scion of Trickery: A ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu gains a close connection to the powers of destruction. This has different effects depending on whether the ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu is a spellcaster or not.

If the ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu is not a spellcaster, they gain the following spell-like abilities at the designated character level (or CR), each useable once per day. If their character level or CR exceeds the minimum character level or CR of the spell-like ability by 2 or 3, then they may use that ability 3/day instead, and if it exceeds the minimum character level or CR of the spell-like ability by 4 or more, they may use it at-will. These abilities have Charisma-based DCs and a caster level equal to the ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu's character level (or CR).

Spell-Like Abilities Gained By Ravaged By Fraz-Urb'luu
Minimum Character Level Spell-Like Ability Gained Equivalent Spell Level
1 Disguise self 1st
3 Nondetection 2nd
5 False vision 3rd
7 Greater invisibility 4th
9 Mislead 5th
11 Screen 6th
13 Clone 7th
15 Art of the lilliputian 8th
17 Demise unseen 9th

If the ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu is a spellcaster, they add all of the above spells to their class list, and learn them when they reach the marked character level (or CR). They cast them as they would normally cast spells from their class. If the ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu had multiple spellcasting classes, apply this to all of them.

Harmless Form (Sp): As a standard action, the ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu can turn into any animal, humanoid or monstrous humanoid that has a CR of 1 less than their character level. While in this form, the ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu loses all of its normal abilities, but retains its own alignment, outlook and goals. If the ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu was injured before it transforms, the new form will have the exact same damage on it. The ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu can also transform back into their normal form with another standard action. If their transformed form was damaged, their original form will have the exact same damage on it. If the ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu is killed while in another form, it reverts to its original form (but stays dead).

Ravage Form (Sp): As a full-round action, a 2nd level ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu may bestow Fraz-Urb'luu's ravage on a creature eligible to gain a level. That creature gains its first level in the ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu racial paragon class. If the ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu attempts to ravage an unwilling creature, it receives a Will save to resist (Intelligence-based DC).

Unstuck In Time (Su): 2nd level ravaged by Fraz-Urb'luu are slightly unstuck in the stream of time, being present in both the past, the present and the future simultaneously, and frequently shifting among the three. This gives them concealment at all times (20% miss chance). This cannot be negated by anything short of true seeing.

Ex-Ravaged By Fraz-Urb'luu[edit]

Being a deceiver (and, indeed, the Deceiver) by nature, Fraz-Urb'luu certainly isn't one to enjoy betrayal when it screws him. Those who cease being chaotic evil, or otherwise turn against Fraz-Urb'luu while having levels in this class lose access to any spells, spell-like abilities and supernatural abilities from this class, and cannot continue to advance in it. They may atone if they want to continue advancing and get their powers back (and Fraz-Urb'luu would probably be good with that, but will keep a closer eye next time).
