No matter how sharp the sword and accurate the blow, the crit fisher could not strike the vitals they were aiming for.
You invoke misfortune on the target, and they are unable to make any critical hits for the duration on a failed save. They still automatically hit on a natural 20, but damage is not multiplied and abilities that trigger on critical hits do not trigger. On a successful save the duration is 1 round.
This spell can be cast two spell levels higher than normal to make it Mass Remove Critical, targeting one creature every three caster levels you have.
