Revised Mental Ability Scores[edit]

Mental ability scores are not as well defined as the physical ones. Intelligence represents reasoning and memory. Wisdom represents will power, faith, understanding and perception. Charisma represents force of personality, appearance, persuasiveness and leadership. There is considerable overlap between wisdom and the other two.

Unwise characters[edit]

Wisdom ceases to be an ability score and has its functionality absorbed by Intelligence and Charisma.

Intelligence[edit]

Takes all skills from wisdom as its own. Ranger spell casting is based on intelligence.

Charisma[edit]

Takes the spell casting of clerics, druids and paladins. Will saves are based on charisma.

Bestial Intellect[edit]

Animals now use the higher of their Wisdom and Intelligence scores as their Intelligence. Any creature that had an Intelligence score of 2 or less, gains the Bestial Intellect flaw.
