You hear whispers out of nowhere, the subtle murmur of thoughts of others.
When worn you hear an ever-present murmur of whispers from the thoughts of other creatures. Any creature with an Intelligence score and not immune to mind-affecting effects within 30 ft will trigger the ring. You can tell the number of creatures nearby, but not their exact locations. With a move action you can determine the direction of a particular whisper.
While within 5 ft, you can take a swift action to probe the mind of a valid target creature. It only grants a one or two word description of their surface thoughts. For simple creatures like animals or creatures with Int 2 or less, it usually falls to simple concepts like "HUNGRY" or "FEAR" or "CONFUSED".
Prerequisites: Forge Ring, detect thoughts.
