Shining Sword Paladin

A shinning sword paladin is a clear improvement over the base paladin, gaining better spellcasting and class features.

Class: Paladin

Level: 1-20

Replaces: Alignment Restriction, Skills, Spellcasting, Detect Evil, Remove Disease

Benefit: A shinning sword paladin gain the following class features:

Skills: The paladin's skill list and skill points changes to the following;

(4 + Int modifier) Balance (Dex), Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Handle Animal (Cha), Heal (Wis), Intimidate (Cha), Jump (Str), Knowledge (local) (Int), Knowledge (nobility) (Int), knowledge (religion), Listen (Wis), Perform (Cha), Profession (Wis), Ride (Dex), Spot (Wis), Sense Motive (Wis), Survival (Wis), Swim (Str), and Tumble (Dex).

Prestige Class Feature: If a shinning sword paladin enter a prestige class that mimic some paladin ability such as a Blackguard, Black Knight or Knight of the Broken Halo. She may choose to use her shining sword paladin class feature instead of the normal feature granted by the class, by example a Shining Sword Paladin/Blackguard could gain abjure good instead of smite good and detect alignment instead of detect good. Additionally when she take levels in Blackguard, Black Knight or Knight of the Broken Halo she may advance her shining paladin spellcasting instead of gaining partial spellcasting, in the case of blackguard and black knight she lose access to the paladin spell list and instead gain access to the blackguard spell list.

Alignment Restriction and Code of Conduct: A shining sword paladin can be of any good alignment, additionally she does not have a code of conduct, instead she simply must maintain her good alignment not to fall. A paladin may still fall if she fall out of grace of her patron deity or whatever source granted her's powers, although she may just need to find another power source to regain her abilities. A fallen paladins till retain any non-supernatural non-spellcasting clss features.

Detect Alignment (Su): A shining sword paladin may replicate the effect of detect alignment at will. This ability count as detect evil for the purpose of meeting prerequisites.

Bonus Feat: A 2nd level shining sword paladin gain a single [fighter] bonus feat she meet the prerequisites. She gain another of such feat at 4th and each 4 level thereafter.

Chosen Weapon (Su): A 3rd level shining sword paladin may choose one of her weapon to be her chosen weapon with a 24 hour ritual. Your chosen weapon count as a good weapon for the purpose of bypassing damage reduction and you can recall it to your hand as a move action from anywhere on the same plane, if you already had the ability to do that you may do so as a free action instead. Additionally any spell with a duration more than instantaneous you cast on your chosen weapon is extended for free.

At 6th level your chose weapon gain the holy enhancement for as long as it in your hands.

Turn Undead (Su): A 4th level shining sword paladin gain the ability to turn undead as a cleric of her level class level.

Scourge Afflictions (Su): A 5th level paladin can remove afflictions with a single touch. Once per day per class level she may restore a touched creature (including herself) of any of the following status effects: ability penalties (such as from ray of enfeeblement, touch of idiocy, etc.) ability damage and ability drain (but not ability burn), blindness, confusion, dazing, dazzling, deafness, entanglement, exhaustion, fatigue, fascination, fright, level drain, shaken, panicked, cowering, nausea, paralysis, sickness, stunning, uncenteredness and any other condition that this list does not include but the DM deems permissible. Death and dying are not conditions that can be ended by use of this maneuver. Gradated conditions such as ability score reductions and negative levels are all removed, not only some of them. This ability count as remove disease for the purpose of meeting prerequisites.

Abjure Evil (Su): A 10th level shining sword paladin possess a stronger version of smite evil, it has all of the normal effect of smite evil plus anytime you strike an evil creature you and it become under the effect of dispel evil. You may also spend a smite attempt in order to use dispel evil or suppress enchantment on yourself or a non-evil creature within close range.
