Slaying[edit]

A slaying weapon can deal a terrible killing blow to weakened opponents. It is the lesser version of killing. When a creature is dealt damage by a slaying weapon, if it under half it maximum hit points or if it has than 5 hit point per point of Bab of the wielder or less (whichever is more), it must make a fortitude save (DC 20 + half the wielder's base attack bonus) or die outright. A creature who succeeds its save is immune to the effects of a lesser killing weapons for 1 minute. Creatures immune to [death] effects cannot be slain by this ability, but on a failed save they take an additional 5 points of damage per point of the wielder's base attack bonus.

A creature slain by a slaying weapon cannot be resurrected by anything weaker than a resurrection spell.
