Glacial spikes are bestial, parasitic symbiotic creatures that attach themselves to other elementals. Although they will bond with virtually any variety of elemental, they prefer [[Elemental (4e Monster)#Frostblade Progenitor|frostblade progenitors]], which live in the same environments as the spikes. Individually they are weak and fragile, but in large groups they can pose a serious threat. They gather in collective groups of up to a dozen individuals and instinctively protect their hosts, even going so far as to sacrifice themselves in order for the host to live.
