A chakram have sharpened edges that cut throught almost anything if well cared and sharpened everyday (if not sharpened every day it gets a consecutive -1penality in damage rolls) it is perfect for melee fighters, rogues and monks, (because it is a hand wepon). While used in combat a chakram can be eitheir throwed or used in melee, but just skilled and experienced people can throw it well.
