Viewtiful Monarch spells are very direct; they do not set up booby traps (which means no ''symbol'' spells; ''power words'' are fine, though), and they generally do not act slowly. Also, spells with extreme religious components (including spells whose alignment descriptors greatly inform their effects) or which involve making or manipulating undead are not on the list, and healing spells are for the most part limited to the non-mass ''cure'' family (which means no ''raise dead'', ''heal'', or other such shenanigans, and their harmful counterparts, such as ''harm'', are also not allowed).
