Made for trench warfare, trench knives are powerful good stabbing weapons. A knuckle guard is included on the hilt to prevent disarming and the blade is built sturdily to endure long drawn out fights. While wielding a trench knife you gain a +4 bonus against being disarmed while wielding a trench knife. A masterwork trench knife can also be used to deliver slashing damages. If you do not have exotic weapon proficiency with a trench knife it use the same damages and critical threat/multiplier as a [[SRD:Dagger|dagger]].

A trench knife can be used as a martial weapons without penalties, however if you gain exotic weapon proficiency you gain special bonuses while wielding it. You halves halve penalties to attack rolls when fighting defensively with a trench knife, however it only applies to attacks made with the trench knife. You count the trench knife as a one-handed weapon when beneficial, which mean you may use power attacks attack with it among other things.
