This +1 urukke steel dagger has faintly shimmering sigils lining its curved blade, and has a perfectly balanced weight distribution for the purpose of throwing. As such, its range increment is triple that of a regular dagger (30 ft.). The schattenflieger is sublimely suited for sneak attacking, and deals +2d6 points of extra sneak attack damage. The wielder of a schattenflieger counts as a rogue 4 levels higher for the sake of sneak attacking other rogues.
Schattenflieger is a the name bestowed by to the signature weapon of an old clan of assassins, meaning 'flier in the shadows'. The blade of each and every schattenflieger is smithed with masterful craftsmanship and then imbued with special sigils that are keyed to one wielder, and one wielder alone. As long as the distance between a schattenflieger and its wielder is less than 100 feet, once per round the wielder may instantly transport himself and up to 50 pounds of carried gear to the 5-foot square occupied by the schattenflieger as a move action. This is a teleportation effect.
If the wielder's base attack bonus is +6 of higher, he may teleport to his schattenflieger while the weapon is in flight, and may also choose to expend an attack action instead of a move action to do so. Upon teleporting to the weapon, he may choose to immediately catch it as a free action. On a full attack action, the wielder may teleport to one of his schattenfliegers in range as many times as he has attack actions remaining. If the wielder used this ability to pass out of a creature's line of sight and immediately performs a successful attack on that creature afterwards (such as when teleporting to the other side of that creature), the attack counts as a sneak attack, even if the creature has uncanny dodge or improved uncanny dodge.
