Whenever a creature takes an [[SRD:Attack of Opportunity|attack of opportunity ]] against you, you can activate initiate this maneuver and make an immediate attack at your highest attack bonus against them (even if they are out of your threatened range). This occurs at the same time they attack you, so neither attack is disrupted. After your counter (and their attack of opportunity) , you can proceed with your provoking action, if possible.
