* Subsumes [[Speak Language]]. When a character places their first skill point into Linguistics, and every five skill points after, they select one language to speak/read/write.
* Additional languages are acquired for two skill points each, or as usual for a character with a high [[SRD:Intelligence|Intelligence]].
* Though speakingSpeaking/writing a known language doesn't typically require checks, ; a character uses their full Linguistics bonus for any checks that may be necessary, and to decipher/forge documents.
