When wearing this ring, you are able to perform purely or primarily mental skill checks and actions (such as Knowledge checks or mathematics) in half the time. The ring makes a whirring sound and grows warm under heavy use. The ring constantly glows like a candle, although this doesn't incur any penalties to Hide checks except in the darkest light conditions.
