This spell creates 5 green arrows of light plus an additional point for every 2 caster levels past 5th in your square. With a gesture, they all fire at a specified target within 20', each requiring a ranged attack roll with cumulative -1 penalty per arrow fired. Every arrow that misses moves to a different square adjacent to the target, remaining linked to its origin, which act as difficult terrain.
Every arrow that hits the target deals 1d4+1 points of damage and limits their movement, reducing all of their speeds by a cumulative 5'. 1 round after the arrows are fired, the lines move to constrict the target, with a Reflex save for each line the target is adjacent to, or be treated as if struck by an additional arrow. Any line that does not connect to the target dissipates quickly, although bindings otherwise last until the end of the spell.
A target bound by at least 3 arrows is treated as if entangled. A target bound by at least 5 arrows is treated as if under medium encumbrance. A target bound by at least 8 arrows is treated as if under heavy encumbrance and is immobilized.
Lines can be easily severed prior to the binding (AC 5, 1 hp), although not by natural or unarmed attacks, which treat the attacker as if hit by an arrow.
