I mentioned before, but the power is right. Circumstantial, but very useful when you need it.

So, it's the equivalent of an 8th level spell with an increased area as a second-level stance, with only a few more limitations? Lowering the level of a Dimension Lock effect is not necessarily a bad idea, but second might be a bit low. What do you guys think? -HarrowedMind (talk) 00:45, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

No, I meant dimension lock. The spell version of dimension lock is useable at range, lasts for 1/day per level, and can be further modified be metamagic feats, including sudden metamagic (as a swift free action I put a 40 ft radius emanation down that stops you from teleporting and lasts two days for every caster level I have). Dimensional chains is meant to stop enemies from exploiting teleport cheese to get in to/out of melee range, as well as provide a hard counter to the horrendously broken greater blink. It doesn't even stop the worst of teleport cheese, like a character teleporting in at long range, releasing a barrage of SOS/SOD's, and then teleporting away, all in one turn. Too strong? Maybe (for fluff reasons, not because it's strong or anything). Unnecessary? Likely. There just aren't a lot of teleport things happening at this level. You could make this a 4th level stance, the same time that DD comes online, without much loss in utility. A version a few levels higher with a larger AoE might also be appropriate, to prevent "move -> teleport" bits from occurring, or a D-Anchor strike with a significant duration. - Tarkisflux Talk 03:47, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

Probably... I don't know if a 35' range is weak enough to start, and a 100' range at the end is a bit weird for a 4th level maneuver at the balance level. I wouldn't change anything though, not before Eiji or Ghostwheel weighed in. My ToB is not particularly nuanced, which I think is somewhat needed now. - Tarkisflux Talk 04:04, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
The range is impressive at high levels, but not unexpected from those shooting dimensional anchors anyway. This is fairly circumstantial and I almost wish it had some small, fluffy rider effect.
