Giants in the SRD are a dreadfully poor type. This replacement makes them better. And could probably be applied to all giants retroactively with only a few minor changes (such as lowering HD of the original creature). Altogether, it will be the type I'm using for giants. |
Throw Anything[edit]
Can we get some reference levels for throw anything? Specifically, size categories bigger than what provide damage and range boosts? Medium? Diminutive? - Tarkisflux 18:39, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
- Has been clarified as per discussion on IRC chat. - TG Cid 18:57, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
- Yay clarified!
- This other thing is an extremely minor complaint, but I'm going to put it up anyway because it's bugging me. Throw anything is basically superior to using ranged weapons adjusted for their size, except in some magical edge cases. These magical edge cases would almost certainly be already written into the monster stat block, triggering the "proficient with stuff written in" clause. This makes the "all thrown weapons" thing rather redundant, especially since I don't think I'd ever want a giant to throw a normal axe when they could be throwing rocks. It's not bad, but it bugs me. And now I've said my peace on it and will say no more. - Tarkisflux 02:21, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
