Talk:Profanity (3.5e Spell)

Comments[edit]
Open to suggestions on how to make this spell usable to all players, it is essentially a lesser blasphemy/holy word. But without death effects or paralysis.
- well if you want it usable by anyone, add all the alignment descriptors (only one applies chosen on casting), and remove the non evil part from its target line. The alignment chosen on casting determines whom it affects. So if you choose evil, it affects all non-good creatures. Grog toad (talk) 16:26, 9 March 2019 (MST)
Confusion, Fear, and More, yet...[edit]
Why evocation? -- Eiji-kun (talk) 02:11, 28 April 2019 (MDT)
- Because blasphemy and the like are also evocations.--Franken Kesey 06:00, 28 April 2019 (MDT)
Salvage[edit]
I've begun the salvage operation. I'm not a big fan of the Blasphemy line, prefering things like vile word. So while the idea behind this spell is sound, not a huge fan just by the association.
Also, surprised its not at least mind-affecting.
On the fence about adoption. Also, surely there must be a better name (and a better summary) than what it has now. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 02:54, 10 July 2019 (MDT)
