Talk:Speaker Vest (3.5e Equipment)

Metatton[edit]
For some reason I am imagining the weird armor Metatton's transformed state wears, but with speakers on it. I like it, but I'm curious why a vest. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 00:56, 13 December 2016 (MST)
- I designed it for a Bard + Artificer PrC I'm planning and honestly the vest seemed like the most logical place to put it; I mean, it's hard to fit something like that onto a necklace or into a ring and etc. I was imagining a steampunk armor vest with speakers on it and three slots on one of the front side like where the pocket would be, little places where you could clip the sound crystals in. Plus the idea of an item that can sustain the Bardic Music for you was a really neat one and a necklace that sings seems a little absurd. Not as much as a singing boot mind you, but while the Neck slot would deal with communications and such, I dunno.
- So I more or less made it a vest because that's what I pictured and I didn't really know what other slot to put in it. If you have a better suggestion, I'm all ears; It was either a vest or making like, a boombox to carry, but holding that while it plays would take up one of your hands and defeat the purpose, or if you set it down it could get attacked and wouldn't be as mobile if your group moved away from it, etc. Zhenra-Khal (talk) 02:39, 13 December 2016 (MST)
- XD You crack me up, you wonderful fiend. I've got quite a few things I'm working on, so if you wanna see more, just remember to stop by and see what I've done recently. In fact I was working on a pantheon for those silver elves you wanted more details on; I'll notify you when it's finished. Haven't managed to get it or the deities in it to show up on the divine being page yet though. Zhenra-Khal (talk) 02:44, 13 December 2016 (MST)
