What would be the modifiers for hiding the somatic components of my spellcasting?-173.242.124.71 13:10, 23 November 2012 (UTC)
- Since the hide action stuff involves hiding more direct action on a target and involves an extension of the normal action taken to the task, I think it's a pretty poor fit for spellcasting in general. The other problem is that somatic components are very poorly detailed. There is no way of telling if a spell requires minor finger waggling or doing a chicken dance that walks around the edges of your natural space. I could see the first one being hidden sort of, but the latter would require a very different modifier if it could be hidden at all. It's a fluff question I don't want to pick an answer for, and without that I can't pick fluff appropriate modifiers. Add that on top of the other action weirdness (which has additional casting fluff implications that I don't want to deal with), and you have something that I don't want to deal with outside of a feat or "whatever I figure out for skill tricks thing". So there is no modifier to do that, because it isn't allowed. If that isn't clear in the ability proper, let me know and I'll try to add some wording for it. - Tarkisflux Talk 17:51, 23 November 2012 (UTC)
In fient ability section, what do you mean by count the weapon as a concealed weapon, does it mean that the wielder is subjected to the concealed weapon size and wielder size modifiers? -- coins
- Yeah, that you're supposed to take a penalty to the check as if you were trying to conceal a weapon, based on the modifiers on the table. I'll clarity that up. - Tarkisflux Talk 04:54, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
