Slender white-haired elf of X00 years. Matron Mother Zesstra has raised her house’s influence and power despite the humble upbringing. As with most Matron Mothers, she is strict on appearances, perceptions, and traditions. This is most true for her children as Matron Mother Zesstra feels their actions most greatly reflect on her.

Whether truth or not, Matron Mother Zesstra feels the other house look down on her house but she knows as the primary food purveyor most dare not move against her because hunger affects slaves and nobles alike.

With a history that lives in rumors and those who are long-lived to have memories on the founding of Deepwater, may recall that House Alear may have begun as a weak slave house to one of the founding houses of Deep Water. Their house stood under the heel of the of this house and was afforded little more than the title of fungus tenders. As with most Drow cultures, houses come and houses go, yet House Alear is still present.

No one dares mention these rumors in the presence of Matron Mother Zesstra, lest they wish to incur her wraith and very painful death.
