Unearthly Haunter
An unearthly haunter is a spiritualist that channels spirits in inherent fashion, typically unwillingly. As a result they draw their power from their force of personality rather than insight. As a result they lose some of their connection to spirits, but gain greater necromantic powers.
Class: Spiritualist
Level: 1st
Replaces: Armor Proficiency, Calm Spirit
Benefit: An unearthly haunter gain the following class features:
Unearthly Force (Ex): A unearthly haunter uses her Charisma rather than her Wisdom for all of her spiritualist class features, such as her spellcasting. This also applies to ability gained through archetypes.
Dark Spirit (Ex): A unearthly haunter gain Spell Focus (Necromancy) as a bonus feat.
This ability replaces the spiritualist’s proficiency with light armor. This alteration does not prevent the spiritualist from qualifying for the phantom blade archetype, instead replacing proficiency with medium armor.
Negative Energy Affinity (Su): A 7th level unearthly haunter is a particularly powerful user of negative energy. Whenever she deals negative energy damage with a spell, she deals an additional point of damage per dice. Additionally she reduces any negative energy damage she takes by 5. If the unearthly is harmed by positive energy and healed by negative energy, this resistance applies to positive energy instead.
At 11th level and each 4 levels thereafter, her resistance to negative energy increases by 5. At 15th level she become immune to energy drain as well.
This ability replaces calm spirit.
