Class Features[edit]
All of the following are class features of the Moonlight Crusader.
Spells: A moonlight crusader spontaneously cast spells, much like a Sorcerer. The moonlight crusader cast divine spells, which are drawn from the Bard, Paladin and Ranger spell list. The moonlight crusader’s caster level is equal to 5 + her class level. The moonlight crusaders only know a limited amount of spells, as noted on the Moonlight Crusader Spell Known Table below. At 2nd level and every 2 levels thereafter, the moonlight crusader may change one of her spells known for another of the same level.
To cast a particular spell, you must have an Charisma score of at least 10 + the spell's level. Your bonus spells are based on your Charisma. Saves to avoid the effects of your spells have a DC of 10 + the spell's level + your Charisma bonus (if any).

Bestowed Moonlight (Su): A moonlight crusader intrinsically endowed with the power of moonlight. She may physically manifest her bestowed moonlight as a piece of jewelry on her body, such as a pendant or tiara. Otherwise her bestowed moonlight is visible as a pale blue aura around her which glows like a candle. If a physically manifested bestowed moonlight is stolen or destroyed somehow, it immediately reforms on the moonlight crusader. Changing between the physical form and aura form of bestowed moonlight is a free action.
Eternal Guidance (Su): As a swift action you are able to ask for guidance from the soul of previous moonlight crusaders, gaining the benefit of Aid Another for a skill check. If done on a Knowledge check, you may use it untrained. Once per hour, if you spend a minute communing you replicate the effect of augury with a caster level equal to your character level. This is represented by communing with individual crusaders, asking for their advice and comments on your situation. The failure chance being representative of human mistake rather than a failure of the spell.
Crusader’s Resolve (Ex):A moonlight crusader of 2nd level or higher is immune to fear-effects.
Moonlight Blade (Su): At 2nd level, the moonlight crusader may empower her current weapon with her bestowed moonlight. As a swift action she may move her bestowed moonlight into her weapon, making it glow with moonlight with the same intensity as a candle and possibly altering its shape. A weapon so empowered deals pure magic damage instead of its normal type. Additionally the weapon counts as good-aligned for the purpose of bypassing regeneration and similar ability.
If the empowered weapon leaves her hand for more than 1 round, it returns to normal. The moonlight crusader may only have a single weapon empowered at any time and may dismiss this effect as a free action.
Lunar Technique: At 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th level a moonlight crusader learns a single lunar technique from the list below. Unless specified otherwise, a lunar technique may only be selected once.
Dual Empowered (Ex): A lunar crusader with this lunar technique may empower up to two weapons with her moonlight blade class ability. She chooses both weapons with the same swift action.
Gravity Manipulation (Su): A lunar crusader with this talent immediately gain the Personal Gravity class feature of an Elocator and the Hyperjump creature ability. Additionally she adds the following spell to the list of spell she can pick as spell known at the listed level: alter gravity, (1st), telekinetic volley, fly (3rd), gravity sphere (4th), gravity well
Moonlight Arc (Su): A moonlight crusader with this lunar technique gain the benefits of Whirlwind Attack with the weapon empowered by her moonlight blade class ability.
Moonlight Stroke (Su): A moonlight crusader with this lunar technique gain the Vital Strike feat as a bonus feat. If she already had the feat she may choose another combat feat she meets the prerequisite for. Additionally whenever the moonlight crusader may take a single attack as part of a standard action or full-round action (such as a charge, a spell which allows a weapon attack, and whatnot) she may make that attack a Vital Strike. If she has the Improved Vital Strike or Greater Vital Strike feat she may apply those feats instead.
Moonlight Glaive (Su): A moonlight crusader with lunar technique increases her reach during her turn by 5 ft. with any weapon empowered through her moonlight blade class ability.
Mystic Seal (Su): As a swift action, the moonlight crusader may conjure a circle that greatly empowers her magic. The circle appears as a 10-ft radius centered on her square, and while she remains in the circle all of her moonlight crusader spells gain a +1 bonus on caster level and DCs. The circle last until the end of her next turn and the moonlight crusader cannot make another circle until the previous one fades.
Spatial Dash (Su): This talent allows a moonlight crusader to dash forward at immeasurable speed. As a move action she may move her land speed in a straight line without provoking attacks of opportunity. She is so fast that she is considered invisible during this movement, which is not foiled by see invisibility or true seeing. After using spatial dash, the moonlight crusader leaves a trail of blue afterimage behind her which lasts for 1 round.
Selenic Sorcery (Ex): As a moonlight crusader grows in power, so does her magic. At 4th and 8th level the moonlight crusader increases the DC of all her class spells by 1.
Holy Moonlight (Su): At 6th level, the moonlight crusader’s moonlight blade becomes an incredibly potent tool against evil. Any attacks made with it against an evil-aligned creature deals an additional +2d6 damage. Additionally any critical threat made against an evil-aligned creature is automatically confirmed. Additionally her bestowed moonlight aura and moonlight blade now glows with the intensity of a torch.
Eternal Technique: At 10th level the moonlight crusader becomes one of the Lunar Eternals, the most senior and powerful of the crusaders. Her bestowed moonlight becomes so powerful that she becomes immune to death-effects, energy drain and any effect which would move, seal or destroy her soul. When she dies, her soul is taken directly by the moon deity patron and granted a comfortable afterlife. If she would be raised from the dead or resurrected, she does not lose a level. Finally her moonlight crusader’s unmodified caster level is equal to her character level;
Finally the moonlight crusader learns one of the three techniques developed by past eternals.
Lunar Avatar’s Eternal Dance (Su): Once per encounter as a standard action, the moonlight crusader may take two consecutive full-attacks with the weapon empowered by her moonlight blade. If she has the moonlight arc lunar technique she may opt to use it, taking only a single full-attack but with all benefits of Whirlwind Attack one each attack.
Royal’s Selenic Sorcery (Su): Once per encounter as a move action, the moonlight crusader may greatly increase the power of her next spell. The next spell she cast until the start of her next turn is automatically empowered as per Empower Spell and extended as per Extend Spell with no change in spell slot used or casting time. The spell’s caster level and DC are also increased by 2.
Clash of the Lunar Eclipse (Ex): Once per encounter, the moonlight crusader can take a single attack as an immediate action with the weapon empowered by her moonlight blade. If she has Vital Strike, Improved Vital Strike or Greater Vital Strike she may use those feat on this attack. If the attack is successful, the struck creature must make a DC 10 + ½ character level + her Charisma modifier or become dazed and stunned for 1 round.
Dark Moonlight Crusader[edit]
The power of bestowed moonlight cannot be easily revoked once given. A moonlight crusader who ceases to be good, breaks her code of conduct or otherwise commits a grave sin against her lunar deity does not lose her power, and may in fact continue to take level in the class. However the color of her moonlight aura and moonlight blade is forever altered, losing its bright luster and instead veering toward dark blue. If the moonlight crusader redeems herself, the color will return closer to what it used to be, but will never regain its previous luster. A moonlight crusader is deeply wary and outright hostile to these would-be "Dark Moonlight Crusaders".
A dark moonlight crusader may still use Eternal Guidance, but help is typically not granted unless she would be using it for a just cause, such as slaying fiends or seeking to redeem herself. An evil dark moonlight crusader who achieved 10th level will be typically imprisoned and punished for her infractions if she dies, and thus require a caster level check to be brought back to life. A neutral moonlight crusader will typically be allowed back into the mortal world, unless she consort with fiends.
