Races[edit]

Races
These are the races that exist, but can't NORMALLY be chosen by starting characters. Under DM discretion and in certain exact conditions, they may become playable for various reasons, and make good NPC characters for sure.
Amoebics, Virals, Bacterials, Arachnids, Insects, Vermin, Pestilences, and Dinosaurs (various). Monster races (various), Draconic types (RARE!), Extra-planar races (which are actually common!), are found herein, etc...
Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, Halflings, Half-Orcs, etc... (These races are not meant to be played under normal conditions as they serve as the slave dregs and underclasses. NO, I am NOT kidding!)

Playable PC Races[edit]

(Most of these races I hope to borrow from or create if need-be. If I borrow, then I hope to find that other people have already created the concept or similar races as what I want). Creation systems I'll employ are: MLET, the 3.5e Savage Species rule book, and/or the Paizo Pathfinder Advanced Race Guide).

Cellular Cultures[edit]

"Master Races" of Xal'Anim.
Legendary god-like despot ruler NPCs... The Royalty of Xal'Anim.
Popularly known as "The Resistance" fighters. AKA an entire race of people (think "The Rebellion" in Star Wars lore).
Elite agents currently contracted with the Amoebics.

Multi-Cellular Cultures[edit]

There are many playable races in Xal'Anim (3.5e_Campaign_Setting), the most populated areas of which are predominantly inhabited by anthropomorphic animal-like humanoid races (though definitely not all). Some races are not allowed, or should probably not be allowed, but we'll deal with those issues as we come to them.
Name subject to change, however my plans are to make various races of these for being a cross-planar divine-servant (angelic/demonic) type species native only to my cosmos.
Rare! Rules T.B.D.
Humanoid Beasts[edit]
They are hunted for prey, enslaved, used as cannon fodder, or kept as pets. Think "Planet of the Apes".

Despite level varies according to kind.

More despised than average.
More despised than average. Half-Human because they breed with anything. They don't even care.

Templates[edit]

RARE but possible, seeing as most forms of life in this setting revolve around central idea of reincarnation. But IT IS POSSIBLE to find "aberrations" such as Undead here, and when that CAN happen, LITERALLY ANYTHING can become Undead - so most forms of undead as seen in the various bestiaries and monster manual books need to be CONVERTED into TEMPLATES (some of which to be playable) that can be applied to virtually any living or non-living (extraplanar) creature, with the Type of "Aberration" involved, seeing as the ordinary definition or kind of "Undead" does not normally arise within these worlds).
(Conversions to TEMPLATES of all undead monsters known in 3.5 and D20 bestiary books need to be generated)
(All of this will be subject to further modification)
Not a few Monsters (so far, most WOTC 3.5e monsters are open for consideration within my world).
These are the races that are still seen, but not nearly as often as the ones above. Whether it is because they are outsiders or simply outcasts, it matters little. Here's how they fit in.
