When things get strange, when what goes bump in the night flicks on the lights, when no one else can help you, give me a call. I'm in the book.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the WIZARD!.

Spellcasting: At each level after first, you gain new spells per day and an increase in caster level and spells known, as if you had also gained a level in an arcane spontaneous spellcasting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one arcane spontaneous spellcasting class before becoming a WIZARD!, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining spells per day, caster level, and spells known.

Grimoire (Ex): A WIZARD! most valuable possession is their personal repository of information on the subject of reality warping eldritch power, mystical energies, and arcane might... Which happens to be a Spellbook. They obtain a spellbook for free at 1st level with all spells they know recorded within it, and the book follows the normal rules for Arcane Magical Writings, except spells are never added automatically to the book except for spells from your spells known.

A WIZARD! may cast any spell that is recorded in their spellbook (or from any arcane magical writing they have deciphered), upto a level equal to the number in parenthesis in the table above. To cast a spell, you must first find it in a spellbook, and remind yourself how it goes. Finding the correct page and glancing over it is a full-round action. Until you decide to cast a different spell, you may cast that spell normally, with or without metamagic. A WIZARD! must have an Intelligence score equal to 10 + the spell's level in order to cast it from a grimoire in addition to the requirements posed by the spontaneous arcane spellcasting class being progressed by the WIZARD!.

A WIZARD! may treat any book they wield as a weapon as having the statistics of a Battle Book. They are proficient with battle books.

Spell Studies (Ex): A WIZARD! gains bonus spells known based on their Intelligence score, as detailed in Ability Scores for determining bonus spell per day.

Magic Hat (Su): A WIZARD! always has a few tricks up his/her sleeves, or in his hat. or socks. or shoes.

You gain a hammerspace anywhere on your body, allowing you to pull even large items out of your sleeves or from a hat, or from... well you get the idea. You count as having a handy haversack that hold content like a type I bag of holding. Your hammerspace cannot rupture, it is extraordinary, it does not interfere with other magic items you have and can safely be taken into other dimensions without threats of disruption. Your abiliy to access your hammer space is supernatural however, even if the space itself is not.

Reader (Su): A WIZARD! is exceptionally good at reading. They have a constant, personal Read Magic and Comprehend languages (reading only) effect. They also get a bonus to decipher script checks equal to 1/2 their class level and multiply their reading rate by their class level.

Expanded Curriculum (Ex): At each time you gain this ability, you select a spellcasting class. Add that class' spell list to your own for the purpose of using magic items and adding spells to your spell book. Spells cast this way are arcane even if they came from a divine spellcasting class' spell list. If a spell occurs at a different level on separate spell lists use the spell level from the first applicable class on the following list: Sorcerer/Wizard, Cleric, Druid, Other.

Magic Wand (Su): You may use any wand as a Wizard's Wand as if you were a Wand Wizard, though you do not require the wand to cast spells. In addition the wand may act as the focus component for any spell that requires one as long as it cost exceed that a of the original focus component. It may act as a focus component replacing expensive material components if the wand is worth at least 50 times more than the material component's cost.

Metamagic Manual: You may learn metamagic feats as if they were spells. A metamagic feat's spells level is equal to twice the amount it adjusts a spells level by. Metamagic feats that don't adjust a spell's level or have an adjustment of +0 are treated as 1st level spells.

You may apply metamagic feats to spells spontaneously without an increase in casting time. You may also expend a spell slot equal to the metamagic feat's spell level as a swift action to apply the feat to the next spell you cast before the beginning of your next turn without adjusting that spells level.

Thy Rod And Staff (Su): You may treat any club, rod, staff, or polearm as a Wizard's wand as per the Magic Wand class feature. Rods and staves which do not have weapon statistics are treated as clubs and quaterstaves respectively. You are, of course, proficient with clubs and quaterstaves and these weapons never interfere with your somatic components.

Wizarding Way: WIZARDS! live to be really old, multiply the age for each age category by 10. You do not move back in age categories if this places your current age in a younger age category than you were. You automatically learn all 0 level spells from your spell list and may use them at will.

You also gain a Wizard's Tower which you may live in. While within your tower you do not age, and leaving the tower does not cause you to retroactively age.

A WIZARD! also gains a constant Greater Arcane Sight and Analyze Dweomer effect out to their visual range instead of the spells range

The epic WIZARD! does not gain any abilities from advancing their level in WIZARD!.
