This race is an alteration on the Yuan-Ti Pureblood race established for 5e from Volo's Guide to Monsters.
Description[edit]
Yuan-Ti Purebloods are the most humanoid of the yaun-ti species, looking almost human save for minor alterations such as slit tongues, snake-like eyes, unusual skin, or sharp features. These alterations are blessings from the dark gods associated with their kin.

Yuan-Ti Pureblood Variant Psychology[edit]
Yuan-Ti Purebloods are cold blooded reptilian humanoids who lay eggs and have an emotionally stunted yet fiendishly cunning intellect.
Territories[edit]
Once upon a time the yuan-ti controlled an ancient decadent empire, but it long ago fell into decay. These days they rule from the shadows among humans and other species as spies and agents.

Yuan-Ti Pureblood Variant Traits[edit]
Yuan-Ti Pureblood Variant
- Creature Type. Humanoid
- Ability Score Increase. Intelligence +1, Charisma +2
- Age. 16-90
- Alignment. Yuan-ti trend towards lawful and evil behavior due to their amorality.
- Size. Your size is Medium.
- Speed. Your base speed is 30 feet.
- Darkvision: Darkvision You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
- Coldblooded. You have disadvantage on saving throws against cold damage or cold effects.
- Dull Emotions. You have advantage on saves against charm and fear effects.
- Innate Spellcasting. You know the Poison Spray cantrip. You can cast Animal Friendship an unlimited number of times with this trait, but you can target only snakes with it. You can also cast Speak with Animals at will, but you can target only snakes with it. Starting at 3rd level, you can also cast Suggestion with this trait. Once you cast it, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
- Pass for Human. You have advantage on Deception checks to appear as a human.
- Poison Immunity. You are immune to poison damage and the poisoned condition.
- Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one language of choice
