Beeforged[edit]

BEEEEEEEEEES!!!!!

A Beeforged is a Warforged filled with bees. ...Yeah. That's it.

A Beeforged is any Warforged who has a nest of bees inside of his chest cavity. Individual bees can exit the Warforged through its various joints, though when they attack as a swarm the majority of them leave through the Warforged's mouth. Beeforged tend to subconsciously hum with the bees inside of it, and in times of sadness, the Beeforged cries tears of honey.

The bees inside of a Beeforged have an empathetic bond with the Beeforged. The bees will never attack the Beeforged, or anybody who the Beeforged considers an ally.

Treat a swarm of bees as a wasp swarmFF.

Creating a Beeforged[edit]

A Beeforged is an acquired template that can be applied to any Warforged. A nest of bees must be placed inside of the chest cavity of the Warforged (willingly or unwillingly). If the nest is undisturbed for a week, the magical energy animating the Warforged causes the bees to bond with the Warforged, granting the Beeforged template.

Attack[edit]

The Beeforged uses its previous methods of attack. In addition, the Beeforged can direct a small amount of bees toward a nearby opponent. Treat this as a primary melee natural attack that deals 1d6 piercing damage plus your highest ability modifier. You may use either your Strength or Dexterity for the attack roll.

Special Attacks[edit]

The Beeforged gains the Summon Swarm and the Bee Vengeance ability, seen below.

Summon Swarm (Ex): A Beeforged can spend a full-round action to rile up the nest of bees inside of itself. Treat the swarm of bees as a Wasp SwarmFF. The bee swarm lasts for up to 1 round/level, which afterwards they return to the Beeforged. This swarm has a number of HD equal to the Beeforged if larger, and uses the Beeforged's saving throws if better. It also uses the Beeforged mental ability scores and will, as if an extension of the Beeforged itself. The beeforged may have one such swarm active at a time with a 10 minute cooldown between attempts. The swarm is fully healed once its duration is up and it returns to the body. If the bee swarm dies, the beeforged must wait 1d3 days before the queen bee has made enough bees to summon a swarm again.

Bee Vengeance (Ex): If a Beeforged drops to -1 or below, all of the bees inside of the Beeforged leave the body of the beeforged. Four swarms of bees exit the Beeforged that don't disperse until killed or the beeforged is brought to 0 hp or above, and all go after the creature who dropped the Beeforged. Afterwards the bee swarm goes after any opponents of the Beeforged, then any creature who the Beeforged did not consider an ally.

Special Qualities[edit]

The Beeforged gains the Bee Empathy ability, seen below.

Bee Empathy (Ex): A Beeforged can use Handle Animal on all bees and wasps, despite them being vermin.

Speak to Bees (Su): A Beeforged is constantly under the effect of speak with animals, except it applies to bees.

Skills[edit]

The Beeforged gains a +8 racial bonus when using the Handle Animal skill on bees and wasps. In addition the Beeforged always has the Handle Animal skill as a class skill.

Environment[edit]

The Beeforged can usually be found anywhere a Warforged and a nest of bees can be found.

Organization[edit]

Despite having a nest of bees inside of their chest, Beeforged attempt to stay with their previous organization.

Challenge Rating[edit]

Same as base creature +1.

Level Adjustment[edit]

+1
