Greatreach Maneuver [Metamaneuver] Benefit: You can use a melee Strike at a range. The attack type is still the same (Normal or tocuh attack), but it uses your ranged modifiers rather than your melee modifiers (I.e., Dexterity instead of Strength). Arcs of ki energy ripple out from your weapon as you swing and thrust, hitting your target as long as they're within Close range (25ft, plus 5ft per 2 initiator levels).

Greatreach Maneuver can only be used on Strikes of a level lower than the highest-level manuver you're capable of using; So if you can use 7th-level maneuvers, this can only be used on Strike of 6th level or lower.

Once you initiate an Empowered Strike, you suffer a penalty to your initiator level equal to the maneuver's level for 1 round. While this penalty is in effect, your higher-level maneuvers will become unavailable, but aren't expended or lost and will be available once the penalty ends.
