If the target meets the caster's gaze before the spell ends, the target's age penalties are determined as if the target were now venerable (or ancient, if a dragon), for the remainder of the spell's duration. Determine whether the gaze was met using the rules for gaze attacks.
A creature who does not age is unaffected, as is a creature who is already of the specified age category or older. In any case, no benefits of aging are applied.
