Talk:Insightful Combatant (3.5e Feat)
From Dungeons and Dragons Wiki
Redundant
This already exists basically in the Book of Exalted Deeds as a feat called Intuitive Attack, With the addition of also adding Wisdom to damage, this feat already exists on the wiki in the form of Spiritual Weapon, making this feat rather redundant. --Ghostwheel (talk) 09:41, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
- Spiritual Weapon is one weapon only. This doesn't have that restriction. --Undead_Knave (talk) 17:21, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
- One weapon *group. Bit less exclusive than all that :-P
- Even with that in mind, it feels a bit redundant, TBH. --Ghostwheel (talk) 17:52, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
- Well, this looks to be good for unarmed monk-likes (or natural attacks or whatever else). Doesn't look like there's an unarmed weapon group that works with Spiritual Weapon. So, this has that at least. Especially more useful and less feat-starvationy than having to pick up the same feat twice because your character uses two wildly different weapons and now I'm rambling. You get the point. --Ganteka Future (talk) 18:33, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
- 2 cents, this is also a moderate feat whereas Spiritual Weapon is high, making it more available for lower-powered games. (edit: whoops, wasn't signed in) - Spanambula (talk) 18:47, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
- If you put it that way, I would peg this at High, since the only people who'd take it are wis-based anyway, and it covers a wider range of weapons than Spiritual Weapon, making it better for those character.
- Re unarmed weapons and Spiritual Weapon: Never noticed that, adding them as part of the monk group, so that should take care of that issue. --Ghostwheel (talk) 21:22, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
Monk Type
Added a type, remove if you want. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 12:27, 13 February 2020 (UTC)
