Contractual Boss Immunity [Epic]
Excuse me, but did you really think your instant-death shenanigans would work on the final boss?!?!?!? Sorry, but you're not bringing me down that easily!Prerequisites: Character level 30th, 5 levels in Boss, Endurance, Diehard, Great Fortitude, Lightning Reflexes, Iron WillBenefit: You have complete immunity to petrification and instant death, and any other status conditions you may be afflicted with only last for a single round. This applies to any source except for a deity, a major artifact, or an epic spell, power, maneuver, etc. on which the caster/manifester/initiator rolled a natural 20 on his Spellcraft/Psicraft/Martial Lore check. Even against those, you have a +20 bonus to spell/power resistance and martial defense (if you have them) and a +15 bonus to all saving throws against petrification and instant death, and you are allowed a second saving throw and application of resistance 1 round after being afflicted with any other debuff.
Normal: Even though instant death and petrification only remove one of a Boss's six lifebars, if you get petrified, you're immobile for 20+ rounds, so you're as good as done for even though you technically shrugged it off.Special: You can still be killed by an attack that depletes all of your hit points in one shot (though, by the time you're a 30th-level character, that's unlikely to happen – and sextuply so since you have 5 levels in Boss!) The attack in question has to actually do enough damage to deplete all of your hit points at once – if it just sets your hit points to 0 or −10, that's considered an instant death effect, and this feat makes you immune to it.
If using scaling feats, the Endurance feat is not considered to be a prerequisite.
