Crossbowyer [Archetype]
Prerequisites: BAB 1+, Proficient with crossbowsBenefit: See below
Special: If you ever stop qualifying for this feat, you can trade it for another archetype feat that you meet the prerequisites for.
Archetype Feat Bonus are based on BAB.
- 1 BAB: The reload time for light, heavy and great crossbows are reduced by one step (swift for light, move for heavy and great)
- 3 BAB:The reload time for light, heavy and great crossbows are reduced by one step further (free for light, swift for heavy and great)
- 7 BAB: You no longer provoke an attack of opportunity for using or reloading a crossbow in melee. You may also reload your crossbow as an immediate action.
- 10 BAB: The reload times for light, heavy and great crossbows are reduced one step further( not an action for light, free for heavy and great)
- 13 BAB :Crossbows now ignore a certain amount of AC that is natural or equipment based based on the type of crossbow (2 for light, 5 for heavy, 8 for Great)
- 16 BAB :Heavy and great crossbows now can be reloaded as not an action
When a crossbow can be reloaded as a free action the character may fire the crossbow at their full normal attack rate.Reloading the crossbow does not provoke attacks of opportunity when it is a free action.
