Tossing the soil at your enemies, you cause the ground to explode beneath them, assaulting them with the energy of Gaia herself.
This spell functions like flame strike, except that the cylinder erupts from the ground itself, rather than falling down from the sky. This means that creatures on the ground have nearly no time to react, and therefore take a −2 penalty to their Reflex saves, while creatures in midair have more time to react (assuming that they're close enough to the ground to be hit at all), and therefore take a +2 bonus to their Reflex saves; creatures more than 20 feet above the ground are treated as though they have evasion (meaning that they take no damage on a successful save). In addition, the damage from this spell is treated as magic bludgeoning damage instead of half fire and half divine.
Material Component: A handful of sand or soil.

Summary | Make the ground erupt with power — it's like flame strike, except that it comes from below. (Useful against foes on the ground, not so much against foes in the air.) + |
