Exploding Energy[edit]

This weapon is inscribed with dull runes. As you activate their magic it erupts to life and then explodes outward!

This enhancement can only be added to a Corrosive, Flaming, Frost, or Shock weapon. If you activate your energy enhancement from its off state it explodes into a sphere of energy out to 10 ft or your reach (whichever is better), dealing 4d6 of the chosen energy damage with a Reflex save for half, DC 10 + 1/2 BAB + your highest ability modifier. Add +1d6 damage for every attack you would be granted by BAB, and any other damage of the same energy type the weapon has (it already includes the bonus from the initial Corrosive/Flaming/Frost/Shock weapon). The wielder is immune to their own explosion.

If the weapon has multiple energy types, the subsequent explosion is a mix of said energy types and requires resistance/immunity to all energy types to resist or render immune to the damage and this applies to the normal attacks on the weapon as well. For example a Flaming Shock Exploding Energy Weapon deals simultaneous fire and electric damage on both the explosion and the subsequent enhanced weapon attacks.
