This simple wooden mask has a pair of circular eyes, a slit mouth and a ragged mop of grass for a wig. It smells faintly of dirt and moss.
Most of these masks are crudely made or simplistic, but some makers go all out in their style to punish a specific wearer, often with mocking features or even writing.
Much like a hat of disguise, the wearer can alter their appearance as with a disguise self spell, but it also disguises touch and sound, and it doesn’t allow a saving throw to disbelieve. The mask's appearance cannot change during this disguise. Once donned, the wearer cannot remove the mask. The mask can only be removed by a willing fey. Many fey will request payment (or some service in exchange) for this task, such as keeping the mask.
Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, disguise self, crafter must be fey.
