This +5 bastard sword has a crystalline blade that shines blue in sunlight. The blade attunes itself with the wielder automatically when first held. This harmony grants two beneficial powers. This weapon bypasses 1 point of damage reduction (except Epic damage reduction unless the wielder is epic) or hardness per 2 HD of the wielder. Additionally, the wielder can command the blade to channel a supernatural bolt of pure, untyped energy as a standard action. The bolt functions similarly to a lightning bolt spell, dealing 1d6 untyped energy damage per HD of the wielder in a 5 foot wide line for 100 feet. This ability is usable once every 10 rounds. A Reflex save (DC 10 + 1/2 the wielder's HD + the weapon's base enhancement bonus of 5) is allowed for half damage. If the damage causes any barrier to break, the bolt continues beyond the barrier if the effect’s range permits; otherwise, it stops at the barrier just as any other spell effect does. As the weapon attunes to its wielder, the caster level of this attack is the as the wielder's character level.

Origins
|
The original forged sky was crafted by Veti from the sky of the godly realm of Nymnelia. This blade was bestowed in honor to the sabayoh Ohmriel in the war against Exaka. The weapon was used to smite legions of devils and strike at the wicked god himself. Since the war, the blade and its wielder became renowned and many more blades where commissioned to be crafted by Veti's smiths. These blades, as well as the secret to making them, have since passed down to mortals.
