Tales from the Yawning Portal

In the Sunless Citadel, within the Twilight Grove, there lies the Gulthias Tree, tended by Belak the Outcast. The Gulthias tree is tree that has grown from the wooden steak used to kill the ancient vampire Gulthias.

Twice a year it bears fruit. The summer fruit can heal and cure disease. The winter fruit is necrotic and can create blights.

Features Fruit. The tree bears two magical fruit (evocaiton school) each year. The summer fruit Heals and cures disease. The winter fruit does necrotic damage and can create twig blights. Tree Thralls. The tree absorbs a humanoid bound to it over the course of a day. The creature is then released, but changed. It is now under the control of the tree and has these additional traits: Barkskin. AC is buffed. Tree Thrall. It dies if the tree is destroyed.
