A heavenly voice produces a vertical column of divine sound roaring downward. The spell deals 1d4 points of damage per caster level (maximum 10d4). Half the damage is sonic damage, but the other half results directly from divine power and is therefore not subject to being reduced by resistance to sonic-based attacks. Creatures that fail their save are also knocked prone. Aerial creatures are also brought down to the bottom of the spell's area on a failed save.
