Horsebreaking Great Cleave [Fighter]
Prerequisites: BAB +12, Strength 25, Power Attack, Cleave, Great Cleave, Horsebreaker Training, Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Horsebreaker), Weapon Focus (Horsebreaker), Weapon Specialization (Horsebreaker), Greater Weapon Focus (Horsebreaker), Improved Horsebreaking Cleave, Horsebreaking Cleave (3.5e Feat)Benefit: The rules and effects of Horsebreaking Cleave can now be used with Great Cleave
Example: Frank wields a horsebreaker as two foes charge down the field on heavy warhorses. On his turn, Frank subtracts 5 from his roll for Power Attack and attacks the first horse instead of the rider. He hits and rolls damage. By a stroke of luck, Frank rolls the maximum of 32 damage on 4d8. With the 32 +10 from Power Attack (double for using a two handed weapon) + 2 for Weapon Specialization +his +7 Strength Modifier for a total of 51 damage. The heavy warhorse only has 30 HP and is killed instantly with 11 damage left over after the horse is reduced to -10. Declaring Horsebreaking Cleave, the horsebreaker cuts the Warhorse in half and Frank rolls another attack at the same attack bonus (as per Cleave) against the rider, who is surprised by the blade coming through his mount and is caught flatfooted, losing his Dexterity Bonus to AC. Frank's attack is successful and he deals 28 damage +10 from Power Attack + 2 from Weapon Specialization+ his +7 Strength Modifier +11 carried over from the horse for a total of 58 damage. The rider only had 40 HP and is killed instantly, also sliced completely in half with 18 damage left over. Declaring Horsebreaking Great Cleave, Frank rolls an attack against the second horse, successfully hitting. He rolls damage, resulting in 17 damage on 4d8. With 17+10 from Power attack+ 2 from Weapon Specialization+his +7 Strength Mod +18 carried over from the previous target, he deals a total of 54 damage against the horse, which has 30 HP and is killed instantly, resulting in 24 damage left over. Declaring Horsebreaking Great Cleave again, Frank attacks that horse's rider and hits, getting a lousy roll with the minimum damage of 4 on 4d8. With 4+10 for Power Attack +2 for Weapon Specialization+ 7 for his Strength Mod + 24, he deals 45 damage. The second rider has 59 HP and so is not instantly killed, but is hurt pretty badly and will be prone on his next turn do to having his horse cut out from under him unless he succeeds on a Tumble checkNormal: Great Cleave works as normalSpecial: Fighter can take Great Horsebreaking Cleave as one of his bonus feats
Special 2: Creatures of Huge size or larger can eliminate the need for Horsebreaker Training
Special 3: If you have taken Horsebreaking Cleave, Improved (3.5e Feat), it can only be applied to the rider of the first mount killed. You must still roll a separate attack roll for each target after the second one.
Special 4: If none of your opponents are on mounts, but at least three are within Cleaving distance, Horsebreaking Great Cleave can be applied instead of Great Cleave.
